ANDREW TAM

Andrew was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and graduated from Catholic High School in 2007.  While attending Louisiana State University, Andrew joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve and spent four years with the 3rd Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment in Belle Chasse, LA.  Following his graduation from Louisiana State University with a degree in Construction Management, Andrew went to work for a general contractor building houses in the greater Baton Rouge area.  Subsequently, after graduation in 2012, he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps.  Following a year of residential construction, Andrew placed his construction career on hold and went active duty in the Marines.  He spent over a year training in Quantico, Virginia and then was stationed in Camp Pendleton, California for three years.  From 2014 to 2017, Andrew was a Communications Officer in the 11th Marine Regiment (Artillery) and spent two years as the Communications Officer for 2nd Battalion, 11th Marines.  Upon finishing his time in the Marine Corps as a Captain, Andrew returned to Baton Rouge to pursue his construction career.  Andrew worked as a Project Manager for almost two years with a commercial construction company in town, Stuart and Company, General Contractors.  Andrew gained valuable experience with project types ranging from office and healthcare facility renovations to a new 25,000 square-foot museum.

Andrew enjoys spending time with his parents Billy and Christine, his sister Angela, and his dog Drake.  His personal hobbies and interests include traveling, watching/playing sports, staying active, and hanging out with friends in Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
