Old Dallas High School

Dallas, TX

Description:

This Historic Tax Credit project consists of the restoration and conversion of the pre-existing Dallas High School located in downtown Dallas, TX. Originally built in 1907, the 4-story, 105,295 GSF building was formerly used as the public high school for the city. After sitting vacant for nearly two decades, the building originally used as classrooms and administrative offices were transformed into restaurants, retail spaces, and office spaces. With the architectural design of Merriman Anderson/Architects (MAA) almost 100% of the existing shell of the building was used. The emphasis made to preserving the architectural heritage of the building awarded Old Dallas High School the 2018 Preservation Achievement Award for outstanding historical preservation.
