Harriet Tubman Charter School
New Orleans, LADescription:
The Harriet Tubman Charter School, located in New Orleans, LA, consists of the Historic Tax Credit renovation and restoration of the pre-existing school and annex building along with the construction of a new gymnasium. Originally built in 1917 and one of the only schools still standing from WWI, the 53,598 SF school was restored to its original beauty with restorations made to the original hard-wood floors, classrooms, and grand corridors. Along with the restorations made to the school was the transformation of the annex building into a music building and a cottage adjacent to the school becoming the administrative offices.
